Technique: spray painting on canvas or wood
Damien Latouche Bouteloup (who signs "DéheL B", or "DLB"), born in 1984 in Paray le Monial (71), is an artist ("according to others", as he likes to say) painter who works mainly acrylic and spray stencil. Coming from a family where drawing and painting have been practiced for 2 generations, he took lessons from the age of 6 where he reproduced works by Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh in oil pastels. As a teenager he moved towards drawing with pencil and pen, reproducing the classics of Akira Toriyama and Ryôichi Ikegami and took up graffiti on paper. He put all that aside for many years before bringing out his brushes in 2013 to start painting acrylic on canvas, then quickly stenciling with a spray can. Painting only portraits, he draws his inspiration from music (Serge Gainsbourg, Kurt Cobain, Jacques Brel...) as well as from cinema (Star Wars, Louis de Funès, Marlon Brando...) or the icons of painting (Dali, Picasso...)
