Koba is a Georgian painter born in 1970. He began to be interested in the artistic field very early, from his earliest childhood. A few years later he enrolled at the Tbilisi Academy of Fine Arts where he chose to specialize in monumental painting. Some time after obtaining his diploma Koba decided to leave his native country for France in order to discover new sources of inspiration. After a detour through Brussels, the artist now lives and works in Geneva. The works that Koba gives us are at the crossroads of figuration and abstraction; if the subject always remains figurative, the treatment seems to slide dangerously into the terrain of abstraction. Light is also a key motif in his work.
