Georges Myral was born in 1954 and the painting that he practiced very early as a passionate amateur found its roots in the abstract painting of the 20th century in several movements from which he drew lessons that he combined on the canvas to reach maturity in his own creation. In 2012 he definitively adopted his status as a painter and saw these works presented by “Open Art Galerie”. For many years his work was focused on a geometric construction of his works where the support was often composed of an assembly of several canvases. 2022 and 2023 will be the years of a total break with geometric creations, not letting any canvas leave his workshop. His return to creation in 2024 will be made by adopting a radical change with painting freeing shapes and colors in a space free of any constraints. His technique consists of layering oil paint layer by layer of different colors, to obtain abstract works ranging from minimal works to more complex works.
